Graphic identity, including a poster series and a book for the 2012 Guimarães Jazz Edition, by Portugal-based graphic design studio Atelier Martino&Jaña (via Guimarães Jazz Edition | iainclaridge.net)

s-elma: “The main obstruction i had to solve was the low budget. The budget didn’t allow a poster for every single event. I tackeled this by designing one poster that contained the complete anual programme. Parts of the texts could be covered by coloured Scotch Tape, each colour represents on of the four locations that host this event. In this way there was only one poster needed for a entire year. MLB rejected the idea, they thought it would be too much work. They were probably right.” Hans Gremmen

“Daglicht is a workplace for silkscreening and other printing technique’s based in Eindhoven.
For the annual report of 2010 we did the design of the booklet. Since you could consider the people that are using the workshop as the reason why such a workshop exists, we’ve decided to place the user list of 2010 on the cover.”
